No they dont, I had my old ones and tried them, there's extra bits under the seat that get in the way and the holes don't line up properly (fronts) , you can get rubber mats for the MK3.

ok, thanks. will do some searching.
I think a boot sill protector would also be a good idea.

Hi,

Previous car was Mk2, 3 out of 5 items from the rubber mats (original, purchased from dealer, see pictures) fit perfectly.

Exception: the one from the boot which is only 2-3 cm (1") shorter and the driver side mat which is slightly bigger but can still be pinned on one of the buttons and can be a temporary solution). Maybe due to left-hand drive, don't know, but for this winter I will use the old ones, maybe next year will replace them with rubber original Mk3.

I've put the mats and boot liner out of our mk2 Tiguan and they fit fine, the only small difference is one of the studs on the passenger side is slightly out but is ok ,I read somewhere that its the same floor pan ?

For sure the boot liner from Mk2 is shorter, maybe you didn't push it back properly, see pics above...
