Thank you - I’m pleased so far.
I have mixed views about the tyres - Kumho Ecsta PS71 - I’ll see how they drive, but I see Michelin Cross Climate 2 or Vredestein Ultrac or Quatrac 5 in it’s near future.
Kumho tyres! That is really surprising to find what I understand to be a budget tyre being fitted as original equipment!
My Elegance is fitted with Hankook SUV tyres which are exactly the same as those that came as factory fitted on my Mk2 Tiguan SEL. On that car they were still going after 4 years with around 25000 miles on the clock. They had not been rotated at all but still had just a smidgen under 3mm tread on the fronts … rear tyres were still around 5mm. I never found the Hankooks wanting in terms of performance and I was well impressed with the longevity but I always wondered what the car would be like with Michelin Cross Climates ….always my go to replacement tyres!
I understand your concern about the Kumhos! I’ve always steered clear of them. However see below:-
So it took a month to move from the production line to your dealer's parking lot. Amazing. I'm told today that my car's build is [strikes in Germany permitting] next week and I can expect the car to arrive near Sheerness at the end of February.
Tiggy3 Elegance 150 PHEV ordered 2024.11.06
Build predicted week 2025/15, then => 2024/51
Built on 2025.01.09

That seems a very long time, even allowing for Christmas shutdowns. Once built VW will be keen to get the car delivered so they get paid for it. Usually takes about a month from build to delivery. May have something to do these silly EV quotas of course
