My recent order for a PHEV Elegance has just gone from production wk 16 to production week 51. My dealer does not know why. Can anyone explain this?
Hi, I ordered new Tiguan 1.5eTSI in September and seler told me that it will come somewhere between 8-10 months... ( Live in Croatia). In your post you are mentioning production weeks and it seams like you are trecking this somewhere -> is there an VW official web site or app where you can track the status of your car?

Thank you,
I
No website unfortunately. Your dealer should have access to the information, but in some cases if they are waiting for the release of new build slot allocations then they will not have the information until the slots are released. From other posts on here it seems that the delays in builds are mostly related to the 1.5MHEV engine versions rather than the 1.5PHEV

Looks like i'm stuck without a car for a few weeks!
Current car goes back 2nd week of Jan and i had arranged for the Tiguan to be delivered at the same time.
Just been notified that the Tig is going to be end of Jan at the earliest FFS !
On order: R Line 1.5 eHybrid

Worth asking if your current lease provider will allow you to keep the car for a couple of extra weeks

Tried that but they wont even though it would have meant me having to MOT it.
So bollocks to them...they are getting it back a couple of days beforehand and have to do it themselves.

Just an update. Today my dealer said his latest information is that my car is still due to be built this week. He said the manufacturing week [e.g. week51] means the week the parts arrive and are assembled - so not a particular day. I hope to be able to update you again next week.

My order has now been pushed back to the end of March from next week.
Not very happy at all.
Are there now issues obtaining parts
