Upgrades available - Dynamic Background Lighting

Activating the free one-month trial version went smoothly. It's just not clear how all the features are controlled, or whether they can be controlled at all.

I just ordered this too, I wonder if they will do the same for the sweeping lights at any stage, theres no wonder why they have locked the car down so we can't use VCDS with it, all this stuff used to be free!

Interestingly the cheaper options of just a year etc have now gone so the only option now if the lifetime one at £50!, hopefully this will change when the trial finishes.

This is so bizarre. I had the option appear for all of about 5 minutes in the App Store (via the infotainment) and since then it has disappeared. I have an Elegance and the option seemed to be a 'free' upgrade when I spotted it, but when I went back into the app to take a closer look, it had gone.

Any ideas what VW are playing at here!?

Possibly withdrawn it because it's been causing issues?, it's interesting they can send out updates like this but can't update other stuff without a dealer visit.

I've had it since 3 weeks as well (part of the trial month), together with multicolor lights as part of the 4 available upgrades, as said before most likely trim dependant.
In my case (advanced edition,I think it's similar/same with match trim) I liked the led line effects when phone rings, hazard lights blinking and locking/unlocking the car. Strange is that, sometimes, while driving, the led bands on the doors turn off on one side, while the other side remain lit...
Anyway, at least on my trim level doesn't worth paying for, maybe on the R-line is worth it, wouldn't know it though...

Oddly tonight my passenger side led on the door (the top part) randomly stopped working after my wife got out!, never had this until I added the dynamic pack, guessing this is why it's been pulled, I let the car sit after locking it and it comes back on fine.

My trial month expired few days ago, went back to standard ambient lighting, to tell you the truth I am not missing the "dynamic" at all.
Even if it would have been working properly, I still don't think it's worth paying for...
