Previously owned a VW Polo and T-Cross but this will be my first Tiguan. Always liked the Tiguan and whilst this car seems quite different externally, the interior and tech looks exciting.

Gone for the 1.5 TSI eHybrid Match (Special Edition if that means anything) in Pure White with Bologna Alloys…. Mainly because that is a stock car available.

"Special Edition" means nothing other than the Match trim level is regarded by VW as a special edition since it is not part of the Life, Style, Elegance & R-Line normal trim levels. Can't imagine VW are selling many Life spec Tiguans given the tiny price increase for Match over Life, less than the cost of the included metallic paint.

Thanks! Makes sense.
I’d assumed it didn’t mean anything so I won’t be disappointed.

Turns out I’m actually getting the same car but with the standard Napoli alloys as the other car was sold before it was reserved.
Should get it next month.

Nice, I’m sure you’ll enjoy. Driven circa 1500 miles in my eHybrid now. Aside from a few software glitches, engine & drivetrain are quite impressive.

I’m hoping that with mine still being in transit it will have had some fixes but maybe that’s just wishful thinking.
I’ve driven quite a few cars from VAG but looking forward to the hybrid.
Don’t mainly drive in electric or hybrid? How’s the fuel consumption in hybrid?

If you can believe anything you see in this car average consumption is around 45 mpg. I can just get it to 50 on a dual carriageway sitting at 60 mph but it is more likely to show 40 under normal driving.

That’s surprisingly low isn’t it? I know that real driving figures would be different but if that’s the case I’ll just be driving in electric mode.

I would be very disappointed if I had bought the PHEV and got those figures. After 3k miles of mixed driving I have got an overall average of 42mpg, based on actually fuel used, and have seen close to 60mpg (on the DIS) on a decent motorway run

I’ve averaged 58.9 over1500 milers so far. A little over 1100 in hybrid & 300 as EV. Return trip of 490 miles to LHR the other day returned 50.4 mpg. Prior to this average was 64.2mpg.
