Saw a Nightshade Blue R-Line last night, first one other than mine I have seen. Looked a lovely colour and might have been my choice but I had to go with what the dealer already had in the order pipeline which meant either Dolphin Grey (same colour as wife's Golf) or Oyster Silver, so silver it was. Enjoy the var when you get it. Would be very interested to know if you can get the passenger door mirror to automatically dip on reverse. Procedure detailed in the manual to set the position are ridiculous and do not seem to work

Hi all inchcape vw got back to me about my rline mirror not dipping in reverse gear they said the factory in Germany got back to them and said the rline dosent have that function so i directed them to their own vw site that clearly shows that the rline has it in their standard equipment on their site the maintenance manager looked whilst i was on the phone and agreed that it is there and said they will go back to the factory with that information and get back to me .very disappointed with them trying to fob me off thought vw were better than that i will update as soon as i here .

Thanks for the update. Why have the option selectable in the mirrors section of the Settings menu then? That said my car has the ability to turn on Trailer Assist (indeed from the factory it was on) and I do not have the tow bar so it is not guarantee that because the option is on the screen means it is available on your car. I'll reach out to my dealer and see what they say

Mine does not work either.
When I unlock the car by pressing the unlock button on the key fob, the driver door unlocks but the passenger and two rear doors do not unlock, are your vehicles the same.

Good to know your’s is the same regarding the mirror. Seems to be a technical issue across all cars. One thing I wondered and will try tomorrow is whether the software thinks the drivers side is still the passenger side as it would be in a LHD car:.

Regarding the unlocking, up you can change that in the central locking settings. As you currently have it all doors will unlock if you press the button twice, but you can change so both doors on the drivers side u lock on he first press or all doors unlock.

Tried my theory about LHD cars, but that does not work wither so clearly for some reason it would seem that VW have not enabled mirror dip on reverse in cars coming to the UK, despite it clearly showing on the website as being offered on Life models and above. Audi did a similar thing on the A6 in 2015 but in that case it ws auto-folding on locking. Had to do a software update to all affected cars to enable it. Hopefully in this day of OTA software updates, it can be done on our cars without a dealer visit

Inchscape Cheltenham supplied my vehicle, was that who supplied your vehicle by any chance?, I will report mine is not working as well which may highlight it is not an isolated incident.
