Welcome to the New MK3 Volkswagen Tiguan Forum!
I had the same problem, once after carwash, I bought this, but didn't use it yet, since in the meantime the squeaking sound disappeared by itself.182_blue wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 10:04 amTry thisBertieb wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 8:20 am Well thanks for the info..
I initially wondered about using a spray of some sort, perhaps silicone spray, but dealer said not to. As far as white grease spray is concerned, which I believe is lithium based, my understanding is that it is damaging to plastics over the long term.
As the Tiguan mirror body assembly is plastic then maybe questionable.
Did/would you use this?

Hi All,
After posting already on the forum, perhaps I should also make a short presentation of the vehicle purchased 2 months ago:
Dolphin Grey, Advanced edition (I believe it's similar to Match edition) having the main highlights:
- Winter package(heated front seats, steering wheel and windscreen nozzles), DCC Pro, Progressive steering, 18" Napoli rims, IQ Leds front&back, ACC stop&Go, Memory feature Park Assist, Boot easy opening, Dynamic Road Sign Display, cornering light and fog light, styling package, Privacy glass rear windows, Anti-theft alarm system with interior monitoring, backup horn and towing protection.
And some pictures (as taken for the optional insurance company):

Well as the Dealer never came back to me about a fix for the squealing door mirrors, despite several promises, I resorted to using a few squirts of WD 40 Specialist, which is apparently OK on plastics.277VWT wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 10:25 amI had the same problem, once after carwash, I bought this, but didn't use it yet, since in the meantime the squeaking sound disappeared by itself.182_blue wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 10:04 amTry thisBertieb wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 8:20 am Well thanks for the info..
