Well thanks for the info..
I initially wondered about using a spray of some sort, perhaps silicone spray, but dealer said not to. As far as white grease spray is concerned, which I believe is lithium based, my understanding is that it is damaging to plastics over the long term.
As the Tiguan mirror body assembly is plastic then maybe questionable.

I had the same problem, once after carwash, I bought this, but didn't use it yet, since in the meantime the squeaking sound disappeared by itself.
Did/would you use this?

Hi All,

After posting already on the forum, perhaps I should also make a short presentation of the vehicle purchased 2 months ago:
Dolphin Grey, Advanced edition (I believe it's similar to Match edition) having the main highlights:

Well as the Dealer never came back to me about a fix for the squealing door mirrors, despite several promises, I resorted to using a few squirts of WD 40 Specialist, which is apparently OK on plastics.

Ok, thanks for sharing.
In this case maybe it's better silicone over the dry ptfe which I bought.
Next time when I hear it again, will go for your solution.
