Special signal,pattern

Just got a Mk3 TIGUAN -R LINE - can’t see that the buttons on infotainment screen for ‘special signal patterns’ seem to have any effect !!
Is this an issue others have noticed ?
Is it supposed to work on front or rear indicators or both ?? (Or neither ???)
I don’t have front IQ lights
Am I JUST BEING STUPID ?

I also have problems with LHS mirror not dipping on reverse (which I think is very important to help avoid wheel damage)
Also -now have had the message that Drive Assist systems are not working - awaiting dealer assessment

What are you expecting the signal pattern button to do?, it changes the sequence that the back lights do when closing the car.

The signal ‘pattern’ does not alter from what I would call a ‘standard’ fixed signal !
Does it only change when closing the car - what about direction signalling ?

Direction signalling?, if you mean can you make it a sweeping indicator then no you can't do this yourself unless you spec'd the IQ lights.
So yes it just changes the closing pattern on your car.
