After one week 4 errors appeared I attach photos
I've had this (and all of the assist systems trigger a warning) on a Tiguan Match with just over 1000 miles on the clock - just over a month old. The car has been with the dealer for 3 days now trying to work out what has caused it with Technical at VW HQ advising on next steps, but at the moment I'm unsure whether I'll get a working car this weekend.
Worrying that there seems to be issues with the electrical systems, I guess some gremlins are to be expected with the new platform. My previous two Tiguans were flawless!

I had a nightmare of a time with a Mazda CX60, everything errored on the bloody thing, rejected it.
This Tiguan has everything the Mazda had and more, however, not a single error, everything just works.

Funnily enough, I hand washed mine a couple of days ago. The assist functions stopped working the following day, with all relevant amber lights showing on the dash and an audible warning sounding every few minutes. The relevant assist functions are also greyed out or shown as unavailable on the infotainment screen. (see pics) I took it straight to the VW main dealer and they reset it for me there and then. It's been fine since, but it's booked in for a proper check on Friday 26/06. Is this is an error / fault that has carried on from the Mk2 as I read that on some MK2 Tiguans, the only permanent fix is to replace the steering wheel.
Is washing the car actually a cause? Also, can anyone please advise me where the sensors are located?

Did you use a pressure washer?, I have washed my new a few times and it's been fine, on the day i picked it up two mins from the dealers I got a few sensor errors and they cleared themselves and nothing came back, the car was washed before I collected it so guess it could have been that.gordonc1960 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 12:08 pm Funnily enough, I hand washed mine a couple of days ago. Thanks for your reply. No, I used a hose and then hand washed, before hosing down again, etc. I drove to the airport and back, next morning and everything was fine. It wasn't until after that, later in the day, that the errors showed. I thought they might clear, but didn't after an hour or so, which made my drive past the dealer, who reset it. I was out today and everything seems ok.
I picked my R-Line three weeks ago today, and had all these errors as the sales person drove it out of the showroom!
I was given the demonstrator and then had to picked the car up the following day after they "fixed it"
Fast forward three weeks and when I left the gym yesterday morning I had a start/stop error and drive train error. These cleared themselves when I got back in by the afternoon, but still had the engine management light on the dash. This morning on the way to VW, I got front and side assist errors, which cleared after a few minutes of driving.
Sounds like this might be a common fault...
