Exterior mirror issue

Just collected mk3 Elegance Launch. As in previous Tigs went to set up mirrors to drop for reversing. Followed guidance in manual and function not working ie doesn't return to normal position automatically. Visited dealer who were very helpful as usual but no luck, so need to get it booked in for full check and poss software updates. Anybody else got same issue? Thanks

Reported extensively (well all of us who have posted so far) in the Introductions section of this forum. Clearly a software bug which needs sorting

Mine not working either, spoke to supplier who informs me vehicle will have to be booked in to be assessed.

My strategy is to get the dealer to get it working on a car they already have in their procession (showroom, demonstrator etc) and once they can make it work then I'll travel over for them to look at my car. See little point in going over there only for them to say "you're right it doesn't work, we'll have to speak to Volkswagen".

That was similar to my strategy, I asked the dealer who supplied my vehicle if they could check to see if their stock vehicles operated the N/S mirror correctly, my theory was if not they could investigate with VW why not and find a solution, that would then save me time with leaving my vehicle whilst the dealer investigated. The service receptionist said they needed my vehicle before they could proceed with VW. I will contact my local VW ( who did not supply the vehicle) after the Bank Holiday to get the ball rolling.

Well I came here looking for the same fault and can confirm mine doesnt dip either, I was beginning to think it was me.

Richie150564 has just posted in the Introduction section of this forum to say that he has been advised by his dealer (Inchcape) that VW have acknowledged there is a fault with regard to mirror dipping and they are working on a solution

Got mine booked in next Tue 4th June, dealer wants me to leave with them all day. Looking at other posts not to hopeful of resolution Tbh but will post any updates

Issued logged with VW,bit of wasted day with car in workshop but at least confirmed issue and not me not understanding the vague instructions in manual
